Bei schönstem Fußballwetter ging es am Sonntag in die 2. Runde im Kreispokal Südbrandenburg. Auf dem Sportplatz Briesker Straße in Senftenberg empfing der Senftenberger FC ’08 (Kreisliga Süd/ Brandenburg) den FC Bad Liebenwerda (Landesklasse Süd/ Brandenburg). Vor rund 60 Zuschauern und viel Sonne ging es darum, welcher Verein in die dritte Runde des Pokals einzieht. Pünktlich um 15 Uhr wurde das Spiel vom Schiedsrichter angepfiffen und die Zuschauer bekamen in den ersten 45 Minuten ein eher mäßiges Spiel geboten. Ohne großartige Torchancen oder aufregende Aktionen ging es nach 45 Minuten in die Pause. Auch wenn die Gäste die Nase immer ein Stück weit vorn hatten, blieb das Ergebnis bis zur Pause ein klares 0:0.
Senftenberger FC unterliegt dem FC Bad Liebenwerda
Die zweite Halbzeit viel dann deutlich klarer aus und endlich gab es auch Tore zu sehen. Insgesamt 5 mal streichelte der Ball das Netz im Tor und verhalf den Zuschauern, im Gegensatz zur torlosen ersten Hälfte, einen torhaltigen zweiten Part. In der 51. Minuten waren es die Gastgeber, die durch Andreas Berndt mit dem ersten Treffer der Partie in Führung gingen. Trotz Führung verlagerte sich das Spiel nach und nach immer mehr in die Hälfte des Senftenberger FC und in der 60. Minute konnte der FC Bad Liebenwerda denn sich bereits ankündigenden Ausgleichstreffer landen. Torschütze war Bad Liebenwerdas Nummer 7, Mohammed Ali, der dann auch gleich 10 Minuten später zum 2. Tor für die Gäste traf. Der FC Bad Liebenwerda hatte nun komplett die Führung des Spiels übernommen und den Gästen keine weiteren großartigen Chancen gestattet. Besiegelt wurde das Kreispokalspiel am Ende durch ein weiteres Doppelpack von Enrico Bahr, der in den Minuten 89 und 91 den Endstand auf 1:4 katapultierte. Ein klares Ergebnis in einem Spiel, das leider erst in der zweiten Hälfte Format erreichte.
