Fans und Spieler des kleinen Balkanstaates sahen nämlich Rot, als das neue Trikot der Nationalmannschaft präsentiert wurde. Prompt zogen Akteure und Anhänger Nordmazedoniens die rote Karte und legten Protest ein beim Fußballvernad Nordmazedonien.
Was aber lief schief beim neuen Nordmazedonien Trikot?
Das neue EM-Jersey zur erstmaligen Turnierteilnahme sollte etwas Besonderes sein und gemeinsam mit dem deutschen Ausrüster JAKO gelang hier designtechnisch durchaus ein kleines Meisterwerk. Allerdings wurde laut Spieler und Fans der Rotton völlig verfehlt. Das verwendete Rot ist wohl viel zu dunkel und erinnert eher an Portugal, als an Überraschungskandidaten der Europameisterschaft. Nach einer Onlinepetition war es dann soweit. Muamed Sejdini, Präsident des Nordmazedonischen Fußballverbandes, entschuldigte sich und versprach eine passende Alternative. Zur EM werden die FFM-Fußballer im vorherigen Trikot auflaufen und somit im angemessenen Rot für einen zufriedenstellenden Trikot-Auftritt sorgen. Ausrüster JAKO konnte sich hier nur wundern.

Diesen National-Luchs verewigte JAKO super stylisch in geometrischer Form direkt im Stauf auf Bauchhöhe. Ein weiteres Highlight sind die im helleren Rot verlaufenden Linien auf den Ärmeln, die die geometrischen Formen des Luchses weiterführen. Weiß abgesetzte Seitenpartien und ein weißer Kragen runden die ganze Sache ab.
Nur schade, dass dieses wunderschöne Trikot nun diese skurrile und kurze Geschichte schreibt. Für alle Sammler gilt, zugreifen, so lange es da ist!
EM Auftakt Mazedonien stark aber am Ende missglückt
Es war heute ein guter Anlass, dass abgewählte Trikot zu tragen. Das erste Spiel einer Europameisterschaft in der Geschichte der Nationalmannschaft Nordmazedoniens. Sie machten es dem Gegner Österreich lange schwer und haben gut gekämpft im schönen Bukarester Stadion. Am Ende verloren sie das Gruppenspiel mit 1:3, haben aber dennoch bewiesen, dass sie ein würdiger und ernstzunehmender Teilnehmer im langersehnten Turnier sind.
